thinkBooker wins Best Emerging Technology Award 2017
We thought it was an honour to just be nominated at the inaugural WalesOnline Digital Awards. So you can imagine how thrilled we were to hear the name thinkBooker called out as the winning product in the Best Emerging Technology category.
The awards have been created to recognise innovation and achievement across Wales from businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs in the digital technology sector. Taking our place among the 300 or so guests and fellow nominees who gathered for the ceremony at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on the 8th June, it was a great opportunity to mix and share ideas with some of the brightest talents in the industry.
And to come home with one of the 12 prizes on offer, against some serious opposition, is a level of recognition that makes us extremely proud.
Speaking to WalesOnline, David Warrender, Chief Executive of award sponsors Innovation Point, said:
"The quality of all the finalists was outstanding, which made the judging process challenging, but a very rewarding one."
The thinkBooker effect
A cloud-based online booking system, thinkBooker is one of the jewels in the crown of the UpriseVSI product portfolio, delivering an effective solution for our clients, and their customers.
We'd like to think that the award has been in recognition of the software's:
- Usability – customers can complete their booking journey within two minutes
- Responsive Design – thinkBooker looks great and works perfectly on any device
- Value-Adding Marketing Tools – a CRM database to manage customer data and insight, plus tools for upselling and customer engagement
- Management Tools - 'Access anywhere' analytics, reports and data, via a powerful back-office executive dashboard.
Of course, thinkBooker wasn't created to win awards, but to deliver an innovative and user-friendly business solution to companies who require an effective online booking system that can cope with the demands of a modern digital world.
Its versatility and ability to be tailored to the needs of the client have seen it garner favour with a range of different organisations from NFL franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Fulham Football Club to the Aston Martin Owners Club and Cardiff International Airport.
Paying tribute to the work and innovation displayed by the nominees and prize-winners at the awards, Mr Warrender made mention of the potential for success on the global stage that exists for Welsh tech businesses in the digital age.
A lofty ambition that we share here at UpriseVSI.
As our Managing Director, Gareth Rees Jones said:
"We're thrilled to receive this award, and thank Wales Online for their recognition of the quality and innovation of thinkBooker. Its ability to deliver a simple booking solution for customers, while providing the tools to help increase bookings and occupancy, has seen the product's reputation grow and grow over the past year.
It's an exciting time for us with our portfolio of clients continuing to increase, and the significant benefits of thinkBooker attracting ever more attention both at home and internationally."
