Well, here’s a little bit of news that’s brought further brightness to the start of British Summer Time. We are delighted to announce that thinkBooker, in partnership with Retail Merchandising Services (RMS) has been short-listed for two awards at the 2019 Retail Systems Awards.
About the Awards
The Retail Systems Awards are now in their 14th year, and is an industry-wide ceremony recognising technology innovation and excellence across the retail sector, with past winners including some highly recognised brands across the full range of retail services, including Panasonic, Caffé Nero, Tommy Hilfiger, EE and Waitrose.
Retail Partnership of the Year Award
We’re really proud to have been nominated alongside our valued client RMS for the Retail Partnership of the Year award for the innovative, Flex Staff Scheduling System, which we developed for RMS and is helping them to disrupt the retail sector. It’s a nomination that puts RMS and thinkBooker in with some illustrious company, alongside fellow nominees such as Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and Karen Millen.
In addition, we’re equally excited about the fact that the Flex System has also been nominated for the Technology Product of the Year Award. The successful implementation of the system has helped RMS to deliver consistently high standards for its growing customer-base in conjunction with improvements in workflow efficiency, and staff productivity, performance and development.
Working with RMS
The award for the market-leading staff scheduling system comes via a highly collaborative partnership approach with RMS over the past three years, working together to create solutions that would add value across the four key stakeholders who use and access the system, namely:
- Schedulers
- Retail Partners
- Staff (merchandising)
- 3rd party suppliers
Already a leading name in the retail sector, in 2016 RMS had identified the need within the business to introduce a staff scheduling system that would help improve efficiency across the company as well as driving quality standards up to deliver the highest levels of service for their clients.
With the design and development expertise of the thinkBooker team, the Flex system has developed in the intervening years to become a cornerstone of the RMS business proposition.
Adopting an agile development approach, the system has evolved through a series of continual short sprints, providing automated solutions that has allowed RMS to see significant savings and improved customer service, assisting the company to win new business and enhance its position as a leader and innovator within the industry.
