About MCP Mobility

MCP Mobility are a family-owned business based in Cumbria, passionate about providing quality mobility solutions. Working within the leisure and tourism sector, one of their key lines of business is providing mobility scooter hire across multiple locations for holiday parks operating within the UK and Ireland.

Their Needs

To improve their business’ booking system, overall booking approach and to provide customers a self-service booking capability, MCP had identified the need to modernise their existing booking process and to enable better accessibility for their customers. The manual taking and managing of bookings via phone, email and diary was a time-consuming process with a requirement to ‘be on call’ at all hours of the day.

A new system was required that could automate the booking process, reducing the time spent manually managing bookings. The system needed to support online and manual booking methods but also enable MCP to operate with greater efficiency, so they could continue to provide high standards of customer support and satisfaction. There was also a strong recognition that the system should provide a positive experience for their customers.

Our Challenge

  • Design and develop a new company site with an integrated booking system
  • Provide clients with an easy-to-use online booking and payment process for mobility scooter hire at the location of their choice
  • Provide MCP with the tools to easily manage bookings and scooter availability in the back-end of the system
  • To reduce the manual admin and paperwork for MCP to improve efficiency in the booking process
  • Ensure that each holiday park has a real-time view of the bookings at their location

The Booking System

  • Design of a new, mobile-responsive, company website with refreshed brand identity and logo
  • A simple online booking system, accessible on all devices, that allows customers to search and book by location, date and number of scooters required (maximum of 2) 24 hour per day, 7 days per week
  • Bespoke bookings time-slots to match their locations
  • A ‘Create A Booking’ tool to allow MCP to take bookings by phone or in-person directly via the system, where necessary
  • MCP have full management of the system via a mobile-responsive back-end
  • An executive dashboard provides instant real-time metrics for revenue, bookings and customers
  • Automated confirmation and reminder emails sent to customers, saving time and enhancing user experience
  • Automated weekly hire reports for each location
