As part of the continued expansion of the thinkBooker software, we’re delighted to announce the launch of a course booking system for one of the leading names in online secondary education, InterHigh School.
About InterHigh
Part of UK-based Wey Education, InterHigh School provides best-in-class online schooling for Key Stage 3, 4 and A Level student from a wide variety of backgrounds.
From its base in Crickhowell in Wales and offices in London, the school operates wholly online, running a full education curriculum and lesson plans for students up to GCSE and A Levels. The classes and courses are carried out through an innovative and interactive learning portal, meaning that students located all over the world can have access to high quality teaching.
The thinkBooker Solution
As part of the wider services offered by the school, InterHigh allow for students to book additional learning courses in a selection of Key Stage 4 subject areas, initially being:
- English Language
- Maths
- Biology
While the classes themselves (and all learning materials) reside upon the Canvas learning portal, there was a requirement for an online booking system to be introduced that would allow parents and students the chance to book and pay for the courses via the website.
The new booking software would need to:
- Enable users to book each course for a period of 1, 6, 12 or 36 weeks
- Provide a secure online payment facility
- Integrate with the Canvas learning portal
Seamless Pathway to Learning
Making the process from searching to starting the course needed to be a seamless process.
This not only means the ability to search, select and book a place with ease and speed, but also to ensure that the details of the booking are well communicated to them via automated email, and that their details are logged into the learning portal for simple registration and course on-boarding.
For this to occur, a full integration piece was carried out between thinkBooker and the Canvas portal, ensuring both software solutions work in conjunction together to provide an end-to-end solution for both the booker and the student.
